The Importance of Dog Obedience Training

A dog always brings a bundle of of joy and tons of energy to the household. As they say, it is man's best friend. Isn't it great to have a pup? And more especially if they are well trained.

Dogs are pretty smart animals. From the basic tricks such as fetch, play dead, kiss, roll over, crawl, bow, shake hands and there are a lot more of these tricks that you can teach them and once you finally have thought them these tricks and they got it and start performing in front of your friends and family all you hard work, dedication and patience will be paid off.

But among the showcase of talents that you want your pet to have, there is one trick that you would like the most. In fact, that trick is not the most advanced trick that you can teach them, actually that trick is the most essential part of the training. Why? because without this basic trick you cannot teach your dog the basic tricks such as fetch, play dead, kiss, roll over, crawl, bow or shake hands , and that trick is the Obedience Training.

Obedience Training is important because without it your dogs will not follow every trick that you teach them even the simplest trick that you can think of. And it is a prerequisite to every dog training and dog tricks that you would like to teach them.

Without the obedience training, a dog can never be trained by anyone even if it is a dog trainer or an expert in dog training; it simply shows that if they cannot obey even a single trick that you can think of, how much more of it is an advance trick. The obedience training can apply not just on teaching them tricks but also it can teach them to follow your simple house rules, these house rules may be not biting of pillows, no scratching of furniture’s and most importantly no potting inside the house.

These are just the simple house rules that you may teach your dog, because it will give them or teach them a good manner while at home and it will characterize them or differentiate them from stray dogs. The actual dog obedience training can actually be done by anyone it may either be the owner of the dog, the trainer or even your friend, as long as they have the patience and the dedication to train them.

Basic dog training or the beginners dog training typically last for six to ten weeks but it will differ if the dogs catches the training quickly, but most importantly to train a dog needs not only patience but also you should be caring and loving towards them since dogs are sensitive animals in where they can sense your feelings and lastly you need to build a relationship and trust between you and the dog to have a successful and fruitful training.
